Some of my favorite things

Whipped Crème can be used to create sleek, shiny straight styles as well as soft waves and curls. Bursting with protein, this luxurious formula is not heavy, sticky or dry - leaving hair sculpted, yet light and lush to the touch.
This cleanser is my favorite. It leaves my skin clear, soft and smooth. The pomegranate is a great antioxidant as well. If only I could remember to wash my face before I go to sleep.
I LOVE this clarifying lotion, it is a great exfoliate.
I just got these shoes from work and I'm in love. Do I really need to say more?

What are some of your favorites? I'd love to know!

I survived and am going into hibernation

For those of you who don't live in Texas they have this weekend before school starts called Tax Free Weekend. Basically anything that can be used for school purposes (clothes, shoes, supplies, etc) is tax free. For those of you in retail it's like working Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) but three days in a row (well that's what it felt like in my store). I have survived my first Tax Free weekend and am celebrating my first day off after 9 straight days of long hours sleeping in and being lazy. I think I deserve it right? I have tomorrow off too so I figure I'll get stuff done tomorrow but today is my do nothing day and it feels so good. So if you've been wondering what has happened to the Harrison's we are still alive but nothing much is new. I do have to give a special THANKS to Phil for being a sweet husband and keeping up with the house when I had no more energy to do it. Yep, he is awesome.

Mom and Dad in town pt 2

My parent's went back to Utah yesterday and it felt so weird to wake up this morning and not have them at my house. We had a blast having them in town and cannot wait to see them again. Thursday I drove to Galveston and picked my Mom, Dad, and their friends up from the cruise ship. I was pretty scared to make the drive by myself but it turned out to be pretty easy except for the few minutes of insane rain. After picking my parents up we went to Rudy's for lunch (my Dad loves Rudy's and made it a point to go there several times while in town). After spending much of the day Thursday in the car we went home and relaxed for a while and enjoy each others company. Phil was able to get Friday off and we packed the day with fun. My dad loves going to new sporting good stores so we ended up going Academy and Gander Mountain.
My Dad was in heaven at Gander Mountain. Dad with his new Tilley hat.. he was SOOO excited even though he doesn't look like it
A little exhausted from all the driving that day?

After exploring all the fun sporting good stores (I think my Dad and Phil enjoyed them the most lol) we got some good local food at the Rib tickler. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of our amazing meals. After running some more errands we watched a good movie, made a final visit to the Nordstrom sale and then made some home made pizza. My Dad is a baker and made an awesome formula (as he would call it) for pizza dough. Growing up I wouldn't eat any other pizza except my Mom's, she of course made the pizza even though my dad wrote the recipe ;). I have always wanted to make the pizza dough but have been too nervous to try it my own so my mom gave me an awesome pizza making lesson.
It was so much fun having them in town. We cannot wait to see them again. I think Rosie is missing them as well, she loved having the extra attention.

Thanks Dad and Mom for coming to visit!! It doesn't matter what we do, we always have fun.
