Just one of those days

I am way behind on my blogging but I wanted to post something about today instead.

Wesley and I met up with some friends at a Crepe place to celebrate my birthday (I'm so thankful for great friends). While we were there Wes had a massive blow out. Of course I was not prepared with a change of clothes. To make things worse the restaurant doesn't have a changing table so I changed him on a bench outside. I'm sure people passing by thought I was insane and the ones that saw my little boy dressed like this probably thought I was a horrible mom that only put my son in a vest for the day. Needless to say Wesley was very happy and thank goodness for Texas' warm weather in January.

I love that Wesley could care less about being basically naked outside. It was just one of those days.

Christmas

Christmas morning Wesley was sweet and slept in until 8am. Phil and I were so excited to see his reaction to his new toys. Wes was so cute and walked right to his pile, he knew it was for him. We skyped with my parents so they could see his excitement and so they could watch him see his rocking-horse my Dad built and Mom painted.

Soon after seeing presents from Santa, Phil's parents and brother Todd came over for breakfast. We exchanged gifts and had yummy pancakes, fruit, eggs, an bacon. After breakfast we all went to church together at our ward for a beautiful musical Christmas program. I wish Christmas was on a Sunday every year.

Wesley got spoiled this Christmas from both my family and Phil's. He was such a happy boy on Christmas and loved every bit of it.

Rosie and her loot.

That night we all went over to Mom and Bob's for dinner. Phil's mom made a delicious turkey and ham dinner with all the fixings. We brought some cookies and a yummy banana cream pie.

Busy Wes getting into Grandma's Fridge.

Phil's sister Natalie sent him and his mom BYU snuggies as a joke. Little did she know they would actually love them. Phil seriously wears his all the time.

Wesley is such a sweet boy and loves giving hugs.

Christmas was perfect. We are so thankful for our Savior and that we could celebrate his birth. We just wish we could have been with ALL of our family on this special day.
