great day off
I had the day off today and spent a few hours with a good friend. We went here with her little girls
and then ran a few errands. I found this hook and accessory holder at the container store. I wasn't sure if it would work but it did and I love it! I have a nice jewelry box my parents gave me but my necklaces get tangled in it and I can't really see my options in the morning. PROBLEM SOLVED, now I can see all of my necklaces and headbands (headbands are in the bucket thing) Hopefully Phil likes it because I have already mounted it in our bedroom :)
Now if I could only muster up some motivation and get some things done around the house.

Weekend with my Mom
We loved having my mom in town this past weekend and miss her already. We shopped till we dropped, ate out at several yummy restaurants, and enjoyed each others company. What a fun and productive weekend :)

recent happenings,,
:Prepare yourself for a long over due post:
We were so busy in December that it went by so fast. A week before Christmas we had a few families over for a Christmas dinner and some cake decorating. I bought a train cake pan and let the kids decorate their own little cake. It was so fun having so many children in our home that night.
Here's cute Gracie with her masterpiece.
Christmas eve and Christmas day however, was wonderful. We spent lots of time with Phil's Mom, Bob and his brother Todd. This is Rosie opening up her stocking.. somehow Santa came to our house and grandmas house for her. What a spoiled puppy. Oh and yes that is her Christmas dress Phil's Mom got for her.
Phil had 1 1/2 weeks off from work and got so much done around the house. We bought a new (really used car) which he is in love with. Also Phil put this little door in for Rosie. She is still getting used to it but I think she likes being able to go in and outside so easily.

Now Phil is back to the real world and just jumped into busy season. Too bad right as mine ends his starts up. Good luck Phil, I love you!
Oh by the way my mom comes out next week for my birthday! I cannot wait to see her!

Thanksgiving
Phil and I have lots to be thankful for. We feel so blessed to have each other, our wonderful families, our jobs, and much more. We feel especially blessed that we were able to spend the week of Thanksgiving with lots of family around us.
We spent the first part of the week with my family. We saw a couple movies, spent lots of time together, and had an early Thanksgiving on Wednesday night.

Thanksgiving day we hung out at Grandma Harrison's. Phil's dad + kids and Heidi's family were in town as well. We had so much fun hanging out with these cute kids.

My inventive husband and his obsession with Life Hacker
Phil enjoys figuring things out, trying new things, and knowing everything about it. He loves lifehacker.com a blog about tips and downloads for getting things done. He checks it every day and probably multiple times a day. Every once in a while he sends me links to tips he thinks I might like. Yesterday he sent me this link. We tried them out and they actually were pretty good. I think I still prefer them in the oven but if you are in a time crunch and have a cookie craving just put a ball of cookie dough in your waffle iron and you will get a waffle cookie in less than 90 seconds.
