May photos

I have found keeping up with this blog extremely hard with these two sweet, busy boys. Here is an attempt to get my blog up to date.

Here are some of the things we did in May

We were so excited when a Sprouts opened up locally. We were so excited that we went to the ground opening at 7am. We love this store because it has all of our favorites but is small enough that I don't mind Wes walking and helping me.

We tried to go to the park as often as possible before it go too hot.

Wesley was goofing off in the stroller one day after leaving the gym and hit the pavement pretty hard. We had to stop by Costco after, can you tell he wasn't very happy about it. Poor buddy.

Phil got to come home at a decent hour one night so we celebrated by going to Lupe Tortillas.

We played at Home Depot.

Wes looked super cool in his sunglasses that he picked out.

Owen developed a love for this stuffed giraffe.

I made lots of yummy baby food.

We colored with side-walk chalk.

Made messes and cleaned them up. Wes is such a big helper, he really doesn't like a mess.

Threw tantrums in the freezer. I cannot remember why now.

Owen enjoyed avocado while Wesley slept in the car.

Wesley developed a love of hats and continued his love for trains. He picked this hat out on his own.

The boys played in Owen's crib together.

We built a few forts.

Wesley enjoyed the child-care at the gym and never wanted to leave. Too bad Owen didn't feel the same way.

Wesley jumped on the trampoline with the sprinklers on.

Owen became obsessed with the dryer, especially the buttons.

Wes talked me into taking him to build-a-bear.

Owen kept being his smiley self.

We went to a splash pad.

Owen became restless during diaper changes.

Owen started "playing" with the train table. Really he just started destroying it.

We visited Phil at work for lunch. This little boy was so happy to see his Dad.

Sleeper Boy

Wes has been going through a stage where he does NOT want to sleep in his own room. He will do just about anything to try and get out of it. He'll ask you to read another book, ask for a drink, food, the couch, etc. He freaks out when we shut the door so we tried for a few days leaving it open. Leaving the door opened made him develop a sneaky habit of crawling into our bed at night. Seriously, he became so sneaky. Most times we didn't even know he was in our bed until we got a kick in the ribs (he's a crazy sleeper).  We had to go back to shutting his door and he does okay going down but wakes up early crying or screaming. :(

We really don't know what is going on. I think he is just going through a weird stage and wants to be near us and also is seeing how far he can push the limits. Sleep has gotten a little better recently and he'll sleep until about 6am (not what I want but better). Since he is not getting much sleep at night he tends to fall asleep EVERYWHERE. Here are some pictures of the sleeper boy.

Everyday in the car

In time out

He gets into the deepest sleeps on the couch and can sleep for hours there.

After church with his Daddy.

More car pics, this normally happens on our way to run an errand...

Hey look at that, finally one in his bed.

I woke up one morning and found Phil, Rosie, and Wes on the couch asleep.

And a bonus of these cuties in their matchy pjs.

Zoo Days

We have really enjoyed our Zoo membership this year! We have tried to got at least 1-2 a month and has been a great activity for our family. Some of Wesley's favorite parts include the Giraffes, the carousel, the train, the large splash pad, and the little aquarium. Owen had enjoyed every bit of the Zoo and has always been the best baby there. He sits contently in the stroller observing his surroundings. The last two times we have gone were HOT and the splash pad was a great place to cool down. Owen and Wesley cannot get enough of the water. Hopefully we will make it out one more time before it is way too hot to go.

Pictures are in random order...
