Visits with Friends

My parents worked a few days while I was in town so we got together with some friends. Wes loved all the play groups and I think he is bored at home now.

We saw Ashley and Charlotte twice! One day we went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway and to California Pizza Kitchen. The next day we went to Chic-fil-A, tried to do a craft (didn't find one), and drove around talking while the kids slept.

Tuesday night we got together with Katelyn & Ethan and Brittany & Lincoln. It was so fun seeing them, it's been years since we have got together!

Random picture of the boys hanging out while I got ready.

On Wednesday we got together with Tricia, Gavin, and Kade. I loved every second of our crazy day with 4 boys at the mall! We went to Build A Bear and Wes wasn't sure about it until he saw the older boys make one. Wesley was obsessed with the sound bored and could push those buttons all day. He HAD to have the song "you don't know you're beautiful" put into his monkey. Trust me I tried to get him anything else and he would not budge. So now we have a monkey that sings that song many times in our house, oy. Oh and Tricia made the most delicious sugar cookies.

This was his excitement when he realized his monkey played that song, pretty cute!

The last night we were in town my parents were sweet and watched the boys so I could have a girls night with Ashley. It is always fun going out the two of us. We enjoyed some yummy appetizers and of course cheesecake. We really need to live closer to each other!

It was so nice to see some friends and yet so many we didn't get to see. There is never enough time, good thing we will be back in July.

Wesley 2 yrs and Owen 6 Months Pictures

I love how the pictures turned out. I want to print them out and hang them all around my house!

Utah Visit- Part 1 (the flight and family)

I normally visit Utah in February while Phil is in the think of his busy season. This was my first time flying with two boys though. Marsha dropped us off and helped with the kids while I curbed checked the luggage (best idea ever). I was pretty anxious about the flight and especially security. I was pleasantly surprised with a kind TSA agent whom helped me load up my bags, stroller and herd Wesley. The boys both passed out during the take off and I was left wondering why I didn't pack a book! I couldn't believe they both slept 2 hours! It was heavenly.

The next day we drove to Orem to pick Heather up from her work. I have wanted new UVU attire so since Heather's office is directly across from UVU it worked out perfectly. Heather and I went in while my mom stayed in the cars with the boys. I loved returning to my school and even though it had changed so much it felt like I never left. I have so many good memories there! After a little shopping we stopped by my Grandma's and had her yummy egg salad sandwiches. Owen got to sit in a high chair for the first time and thought he was hot stuff.

Wes loved being at my parents house and he seemed to remember where everything was since visiting over Christmas. He became obsessed with my Dad's hat and loved running around with it on.
Owen practicing how to sit up!

Phil had a recruiting event that Saturday at Sundance and I got to tag along. It was so fun talking to the BYU students and their wives and giving them my perspective on the firm and Houston. I especially enjoyed the time with Phil and being able to snowboard.

On Sunday we saw Phil's Dad and Grandma Harrison. Clark is awesome and made a delicious breakfast. He really is a great cook! You would think I never took a picture before because my finger is on the lens, doh! We love spending time with them and seeing our boys with them.

Sunday night my Grandpa and Grandma Hughes, Auntie Tina, Uncle Brett, and cousins Sage, Max, Mason, Morgan and her husband Bentley came over. Wesley and Jack loved playing with Max and Mason. They are the sweetest boys and love that the enjoy playing with the babies. It was fun chatting with everyone and Owen loved being passed around.

Wes "helped" my Dad one night load of the car. My Dad and Chris drove up to the cabin and took quite a bit of stuff with them to prepare for our cabin stay.

More pictures of his obsession with my Dad's hat.

On Valentine's Day my Mom and I went over to Foto Fly and had their pictures taken. I will have to do a separate post for those, they turned out great! After pictures we met up with Heather and Kyle for lunch at Red Robin. I absolutely love having my kids around Heather and Kyle, they are so sweet and loving to them.
