Where has December gone?

Here's a photo dump of Decembers daily happenings. I love that I can capture these sweet moments on my phone.

Sometimes Wes give snuggles, when he does I it's the sweetest.

Owen realized he LOVES looking at himself in his little mirror.

Wesley became more opinionated about what he wants to eat.

We played a lot of trains.

Phil had back surgery and is feeling great-- huge blessing.

We decorated the house for Christmas.

Played with the Little People nativity many times.

Crashed on the couch two Sundays in a row after church. So ready to be done with 1pm church.

Wesley spent lots of time laying/playing with Owen.

Played trains with a fun friend.

 Discovered the joy of watercolors.

Wes started sharing his toys with Owen.

Owen has become quite the laugher.

Wes became more independent, including helping himself to two pears.

We had some friends over to decorate cookies.

Played more trains...

Went to the Zoo 3 times. Wesley loved watching the Sea Lions.

While Owen passed out in the stroller

Owen enjoying the zoo like a big boy.

Took lots of baths.

Wes figured out how to take his shirt off.. this is a shot of the learning process.

Texas finally cooled down and we wore some winter clothes for a couple days.

Went on countless shopping trips including Target 3 times this week. I seriously kept remembering things!

Played peek-a-boo many times (even in our Thomas PJs)

Played trains at Barnes and Noble

Owen turned 4 months

Baked cookies, banana bread, cupcakes, cake balls, chocolate dipped pretzels, and made mints.

Owen tried rice cereal!

It has been a full month. Excited for Christmas tomorrow and to fly to Utah to see lots of family! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and hope that Christ is at the center. Feeling so blessed for our Savior and happy to celebrate his birth!

3 Month Old Owen

Over the the Thanksgiving break Owen turned 3 months. So I guess he is now 3.5 month, doh! Anyways I wanted to document a few things he has started doing.

Owen is quick to smile
Is very ticklish and giggles as soon as you start tickling him
Can roll from tummy to back
Wiggles around on his back and can get across half of the rug
Can get onto his side from back but hasn't figured out how to finish on his tummy
Loves his older brother
Sleeps 9 hours straight a night (except the past few days when he had a bad cold, poor baby)
Loves sitting in his Bumbo and really wants to sit up unassisted
His legs are getting strong and loves standing on our laps

This kid is growing too fast! Where has the time gone?

Turkey Trot video

I love how Annie helps Wesley and Shannon so the won't "lose the race"

Thanksgiving reunion part 2

Thanksgiving day started off with a fun run and eating muffins at a local park. The kids were great sports and it was nice to get a little energy out.

I cannot get enough of this sweet girl!

Lauren and Whitney showing off their medals. Seriously the sweetest girls in the world.

Like Wesley's sunglasses? only way he would sit there. Wes won the award for most "athletic" he was EVERYWHERE including crawling through a drain, lovely.

Gotta love self-timer :)

Trying to get a picture with all 10 grandkids

Thanksgiving dinner turned out amazing. Natalie did the turkey and seriously it turned out amazing. It gave me some motivation to do my first one next year.

The day after Thanksgiving the women (including Whitney and Lauren) went shopping and the men stayed home with Grandpa and Grandma to watch the kids. Later that night Grandma and Grandpa were brave and watched all 10 kids. Super-Grandparents even made a fun fort for them.
Later that night the adults played games and the kids zoned in on some movies. Love this picture, ha ha.

Not pictured in these post are the men enjoying a Rockets game, the kids loving on Uncle Todd,  Owen having a blow-out on Grandpa, family pictures, and lots more fun.
