Memorial Day Weekend

Phil had a four day weekend for Memorial Day. He has been working long hours and so it was MUCH needed time together. On Friday we went to a splash pad and let Wes run around, out to dinner to Lupe Tortilla, and then Phil and I went to the Temple while Wes played with Grandma and Grandpa. On Saturday I cut Phil and Wesley's hair and then got to treat myself to a much needed hair cut. Later that night we went out to frozen yogurt and there was a car show going on. Wesley was in awe of all the cool older cars and motorcycles. Sunday was filled with two YW meetings, church and then we went on a walk when the weather cooled down. Lastly on Monday we drove down to Galveston with some friends. We had plans to go to Crystal Beach. In order to get there we had to take a ferry which the kids LOVED. Once we finally got to the beach we turned right around. The beach was COVERED in trash and sea weed and smelled so bad I thought I was going to throw up. We hopped (after waiting an hour in line) back onto the ferry and set up on Stewart beach. The beach was still filled with Sea weed but at least there was clean areas for us to set up. At the end of the day we were glad we went. We had a great time with our fun friends and were able to laugh about the mornings ordeal. Wesley loved the beach and tried to run out to the ocean several times on his own (scary).

This picture is out of order but last week we set up his toddler bed and have been trying to get him used to the idea... so far he still wants to sleep in his crib.

My new hair cut- I cut off quite a bit and it feels great.

Wesley Loved the frozen yogurt we gave him in a sample cup.

The rest are pictures from the beach.

Wesley loved following Trenton around. So glad we have so many great friends.

Bees Game

The night of the funeral my Dad took us all to a Salt Lake Bees Game. It was so fun spending one last night with my siblings and parents. We all had fun watching the game, chatting with one another and watch the little boys have a ball. Wesley was Grandpa's buddy and wanted to sit with him the whole time. Unfortunately being 6 months pregnant and sitting in those chairs caused my feet to swell like crazy. Luckily I have a sweet husband who massaged them when we got home.

It looks like I was a pig and had two hot dogs, but really one was Phil's :-)

Jack got pretty close with Kyle that night.

My Dad bought the boys matching hats, too cute! wesley had to wear his backwards for some reason.

The family, minus Chris because he is at training for the National Guards until the end of August!

Trying to get a family picture but Wesley just wanted Grandpa to hold him again.

The next morning we stopped by Nana and Grampa Kjars before heading to the airport. We always love visiting with them and Wes had a blast running around their house. He was pretty cute with them and gave them both big hugs and kisses.

We were only there 4.5 days but we sure packed in a lot of fun!
