Sleeper Boy

Wes has been going through a stage where he does NOT want to sleep in his own room. He will do just about anything to try and get out of it. He'll ask you to read another book, ask for a drink, food, the couch, etc. He freaks out when we shut the door so we tried for a few days leaving it open. Leaving the door opened made him develop a sneaky habit of crawling into our bed at night. Seriously, he became so sneaky. Most times we didn't even know he was in our bed until we got a kick in the ribs (he's a crazy sleeper).  We had to go back to shutting his door and he does okay going down but wakes up early crying or screaming. :(

We really don't know what is going on. I think he is just going through a weird stage and wants to be near us and also is seeing how far he can push the limits. Sleep has gotten a little better recently and he'll sleep until about 6am (not what I want but better). Since he is not getting much sleep at night he tends to fall asleep EVERYWHERE. Here are some pictures of the sleeper boy.

Everyday in the car

In time out

He gets into the deepest sleeps on the couch and can sleep for hours there.

After church with his Daddy.

More car pics, this normally happens on our way to run an errand...

Hey look at that, finally one in his bed.

I woke up one morning and found Phil, Rosie, and Wes on the couch asleep.

Zoo Days

We have really enjoyed our Zoo membership this year! We have tried to got at least 1-2 a month and has been a great activity for our family. Some of Wesley's favorite parts include the Giraffes, the carousel, the train, the large splash pad, and the little aquarium. Owen had enjoyed every bit of the Zoo and has always been the best baby there. He sits contently in the stroller observing his surroundings. The last two times we have gone were HOT and the splash pad was a great place to cool down. Owen and Wesley cannot get enough of the water. Hopefully we will make it out one more time before it is way too hot to go.

Pictures are in random order...

Girl Trip back in April

A few of my close friends and I took a little girls trip to celebrate Julia turning 30. It was a much needed trip and so fun to be able to talk without the kids. We went to this resort in Conroe called La Torretta. We went out for a nice dinner, shared wedding videos/photos, stayed up later than any of us have in a LONG while, had yummy cupcakes, and did facials. The resort was beautiful but unfortunately it was chilly so we didn't actually get to swim or lay out. I think this needs to be a yearly event.
