Bliss pt 1

My parents came in town late Thursday night. We played all day Friday and then they left for their cruise Saturday afternoon. Our day was packed full of fun on Friday. My dad fixed our toilet, we went to Rudy's (our favorite BBQ place), shopping at the Nordstrom Sale, and went to the Astro's game. It was so much fun having them around and cannot wait until they get off their cruise (they'll stay with us a few more days!).

This was a much needed weekend. I've missed my parents so much and want Thanksgiving to come faster so I can visit them and the rest of the family in Utah.

and the award goes to...

Phil's work had an award ceremony the other night at a Astros baseball game. He won the Rookie of The Year Award. We originally thought this whole award thing was kind of a joke but come to find out the company took it pretty serious, he had to give a mini speech and everything. I am so proud of him and all his hard work.

We enjoyed a low key 4th of July at Phil's Mom's after I got off work. It was fun to just hand out, eat yummy food, and enjoy good company (too bad Bob was sick). Rosie actually liked this t-shirt, it says "All American". I couldn't resist getting it.

That same weekend we were able to get together with one of Phil's old mission companions. Nate happens to be our good friend Julia's brother-in-law. It was nice seeing Becca and Nate and always fun getting together with the Farmer's.

Life Lately

Not much is new in our life right now. Phil and I have been busy with work, projects around the house, and taking care of our pup. Rosie graduated from obedience school and is such a sweet puppy now. We didn't really know how to train her so I guess it was our fault she was naughty the first few months. Yes, I am actually writing another post about our dog. Hopefully we will have kids sometime soon so we don't turn into one of those crazy dog owners who take their dogs on walks in strollers.. no worries we are not to that point.. yet ha ha

Other news, Phil got picked up on another client (he's on 2 now) so this year is going to be busier than last year, I didn't know that was possible. So wish us luck :). I'm having fun working at Buckle, who doesn't like to shop? I'm loving dressing cute to work and helping others find new cute clothes. Fun things to come, we cannot wait for the end of this month. My parents are coming to visit!!
