Frustration

Dear Mall Kiosk Vendors:

I acknowledge and respect that selling the stuff on the kiosk is your job. However, you do not know me, you are not my friend, family member and especially not my husband. Therefore you have no right to call me: pretty girl, girlfriend, cutie, sweet thang, etc. Calling me these names will only frustrate not flatter me. They will also guarantee that I will pass right by your kiosk without a second thought.

Next time I pass by your kiosk please just stand there and smile. Don't call me a flirty name, wave something in my face, or try to shove something in my hand. If I want to visit your stand, I will. If this happens please feel free to see if I need anything. If I end up saying, "no thanks" please respect my decision and don't ask me again.

You don't have to take my suggestions. However if you don't, I will continue to do what I normally do when I see a kiosk. I put my head down, pretend I'm texting someone, or hurry and dig through my purse for something. There may be interesting things on your kiosk that I might like and will never find out unless you change your ways. For now, I am good without.

Sorry about my rant... I haven't enjoyed my mall experiences lately... If you couldn't tell...

I absolutely agree with you! I always feel so awkward when I look at the ground and briskly walk past the kiosks. I always wonder how fast I can walk before it looks like I am avoiding them! lol

You sweet thang. I can understand why a hotty like you would want to avoid the kiosks! (Whistle!)

Sorry those dumb guys put a damper on your shopping. :(

Amen, sister!! That is SOOO true. I do wish I could have been there to hear them say "sweet thang" with a nice Texas accent though. :) I also wish the kiosk employees understood that some of us might actually browse their items if they weren't so pushy and obnoxious! Happy shopping!
