Wesley- 23 Months

Wes has grown in so many ways this past month. He has gone up a size in clothes, is talking lots more, and is looking more like a little boy and less like my baby.

Wesley is a loving big brother. He thinks Owen is pretty neat and loves softly touching his hands or feet and giving him soft head taps. He has however struggled sharing the attention (which is pretty normal I would assume). The first 2 weeks were harder and anytime Phil or I were busy doing something for Owen (feeding/changing diaper) he would act out. Normally his "acting out" (really just trying to get attention) would be by doing something to Owen's things. He would climb into Owen's swing, kick the car seat, throw toys in Owen's crib, have a tantrum in Owen's room, etc. Luckily this week has been a lot better and instead of throwing a tantrum he just sweetly hugged Owen and then said "bye-bye baby" Ha-Ha. Needless to say, it has been an adjustment for him. Despite having to share his parents, we can tell Wesley loves his brother and thinks he is pretty neat.

Wesley's favorite things to do are reading books, doing puzzles, playing trains/cars, jumping on the trampoline and doing flash cards. I try to either read or do puzzles with him while I nurse Owen. Wesley loves this time and as soon as I sit down to nurse Owen he runs over with some activity for us to do, sweet boy.

He loves helping me in the kitchen

Such a goofball

Loves reading books

obsessed with the washer and dryer

Wes helped me the other day make chocolate dipped pretzels for a friend's birthday. He was in heaven.

So pleased with his work
