Hurricane preparedness

Before we left for our cruise last week we stopped at the Ready Houston (hurricane preparedness) convention. Hurricane season has started already and we are so glad we went. We got lots of valuable information and some fun freebies (flashlights, batteries, glow in the dark magnets, etc. ) Hopefully we won't get hit with a hurricane this year but if we do we will be prepared. The Church we are members of had a great booth set up with handouts about food storage. If you are interested in learning about what you need to build a strong home storage go here. Follow the links to read about 3 month supplies, drinking water, and longer-term supply has great information on product recommendations, packing recommendations, and storage conditions.

you live in Houston? so does my sister Heather. I think you have met her before. Her new last name is Blake. She is about 4 months pregnant. Her husband is in med school at Baylor. That would be so cool if you were in her ward! Enjoy Houston weather :)
