I love holidays. It's so fun to make everyday life feel special and different. Wesley was pretty excited about wearing his Buzz Lightyear costumer one more time. He would not put the hooded helmet on but that's okay :). I got him pumped up for trick-or-treating by letting him help me get the candy ready. He thought all the brightly colored bags were so neat, cute boy. Grandma and Grandpa Decker were able to join us for a quick dinner and some trick-or-treating. Before we set out I put a bag of skittles in his bucket so he would get the idea. When we got to the first house he took his skittles out of his bucket and put it in our neighbors big bowl of candy. She thought that was so sweet and ended up giving him several pieces. After that exchange he quickly caught on to the idea and ran from house to house. Owen was a good sport and actually fell asleep in his comfy costume (thanks Sunnie for letting us borrow it!).
After trick-or-treating we went over to the Newman's to make some yummy caramel apples. Wes had to check out his loot right away. They've been doing this for years and we have been able to join them the last 2 year, lots of fun. The funniest part about it is the guys plop themselves on the couches acting like they are watching the kids while we busy ourselves in the kitchen. The apples turned out yummy as ever and thanks to Sunnie for dipping nearly all of them in caramel, ha-ha. I love the second picture because it shows how tired the kids were after trick-or-treating. They were all zoned in on the movie.
(stole this from Ashley's blog) :)
Wesley's loot, most of which was eaten by phil, me and my parents ha ha.
